During the summer my mom babysits these two kids. Dylan who's 12 and his sister Maddy who's 8. Well Dylan is good friends with TJ and Maddy is good friends with Katelyn. So every summer Katelyn and TJ go and sleep at Maddy and Dylan's house and then vice versa. Last night Maddy and Dylan slept at our house, and oh was it an adventure!
Well first we played hide and seek in the dark. It was so fun! We played for like 2 hours. It was so dark that you could hide in the most obvious places without being seen. Our neighbor, Anthony, was here for that game too but he was to scared to play. After Anthony left we played Sardines for a little.
When we got bored of that we had some ice cream and then we played truth or dare. I downloaded an app on my Kindle. Well if you've never done it you wouldn't know but when you get truth or dare apps the truths and dares are just stupid. But I found one where you could change the settings to clean, dirty, or super dirty. Well we were like lets just try super dirty. It really was SUPER dirty. So we were like OK we are not doing that. Lets just read them. So we just read the dares and laughed for awhile. Well then Maddy started getting tired. It was like 1 AM which was the latest she had ever stayed up. So then we had everybody wash their face with cold water. OK so we all used the same towel to dry our face and somebody, we think it was TJ but we aren't sure, got a booger on the towel and when Dylan wiped his face it got on his forehead so that was funny.
We played charades for awhile but then we got bored of that. So we sat on the couch. This is where the most eventful part of the night comes in. TJ yells "Maddy there is a huge cricket behind your head!!", so Leanna, Maddy, and I all jumped off the couch and sure enough there was a huge. I mean huge cricket behind Maddy's head. It kinda looked like this:
So we spent from about 2 AM to 4:30 AM trying to kill this cricket. No joke. We looked so stupid. We had about 30 shoes, a guitar, and a box with paint in it. We were all like watching the couch so intensely. Screaming every time we saw it. But we could not get it. So around 4:30 AM my mom woke up and came downstairs, and in about 5 seconds found the cricket, smacked it with a shoe, and killed it. What took us 2 and 1/2 hours took her 5 seconds. We were all just like wow. But once it was gone we were all relived.
After that we played Scatagories (Sp?) and Apples to Apples. But around 5:30 the sun started to come out so we figured we should go to bed. We turned on the TV and we were all out by 6:30.
It was a lot of fun! We were all up by 11:30 this morning so we got up, ate lunch, and went to the pool. It was a good time. Tons of fun!
