I have't posted in forever! I know I keep using the same excuse but the end of the year is just a really busy time for me and probably most of you too. So, because I've been slacking I'm going to update you guys on what's been going on.
First things first:
Last time I posted was about dress rehearsal. That being said, it would only make sense to start off with recital!
Recital was a lot of fun. I mentioned before that we were Lizzie McGuire for tap and Swiss Family Robinson for lyrical. I found it really funny that a lot of girls who were 11 and younger didn't know who Lizzie McGuire was, like they'd never even heard of her. I mean, I don't feel like they were missing out, it wasn't that good of a show/movie, but how have you just never heard of Lizzie McGuire??
Our tap dance was really good, I felt like we performed it really well. We didn't have the same problem we had at rehearsal where we were all in the wrong spots. Lyrical went really well too. At rehearsal, lyrical was a disaster, so it definitely went 100x better at recital.
Story time! So after performing my tap dance, I came back stage to change for lyrical. Our tap costume was jeggings, a vest, and a sports bra while our lyrical costume was a dress and the top half of the back was completely lace. To be modest and not show every dancer and mom back stage my whole naked body, to change I took off m pants and vest, leaving my tights and sports bra. Then I put my dress on and as soon as I got it all the way up I took off my sports bra, I wasn't wearing a real bra. So I finish putting on my dress and my cosin Aubrey says, while cracking up laughing, "Kylie, you put your dress on wrong". I look down and sure enough my dress was on backwards, it was completly lace and see through, and I wasn't wearing a bra. Needless to say, that is now one of our favorite recital stories and gave us all a good laugh.
This is our lyrical costume. That's me and Leanna and then some of our other dance friends :)
And here's our tap costume. Sadly we didn't get a picture of Katelyns jazz costume
Moving on to school:
It's been keeping me busy. We had SOL's which is a state wide test. I had to take one for chemistry and one for algebra 2. I passed chem with a 439/600 and algebra 2 with a 468/600. Both are passing scores and I'm so glad they're over! Next week is our last week of school which means finals. The final policy at my high school is that you are exempt if you pass your SOL for the class and if a class doesn't have an SOL, you have to have an A average for the year to be exempt. This left me being exempt from everything except English and French. However, Mr. Isaac is a major jerk and made everyone in orchestra take the orchestra final. I'm still so mad at him about this, he let us take it early and I got a 74 and I'm just furious about it. This is why I'm quitting Isaac, this is why. But yeah, schools practically over and I'mm just done, ready to be a junior. Well not really, that's scary.
In YouTube news:
KatelynandKylie is now at 341 subscribers and I couldn't be more excited. When we started our channel on August 6th of last year our goal was to have 500 by our one year anniversary and it looks like we're well on our way! Also, the other day I was asked if next year they can write a story about my channel in next years yearbook! I accepted of course and I'm hoping this will get us even more viewers! Katelyn's doing pretty well on SevenEpicDancers. She's getting less hate now which is good! Make sure you watch her videos every Friday and giver her a thumbs up or a nice comment!
It's almost summer which means I will post more! I promise!
Yesssss

Hahaha yes!
Thanks for reading!
Stay Casual,
Kylie <3
